The BJC 4000/5000 series Edible Starter Kit Big Ink System is developed by Printing Images CtC, Inc. in the application of printing graphics, clip arts & pictures on rice paper using the IQ-Durable Edible Inks with at least ten times more ink load than the regular BCI-21 cartridge.

• Modified Canon BJC 4000/5000 series printer
• BC-21 print head
• Modified BCI-21 black and tri-color compatible cartridges
• 4 X Male red adapters

• 4 X rubber tubing (1 m. long)
• Reservoir with a capacity of at least 35 ml.
• 4 X White Clip
• Suction bulb
• 4 X Syringe with red adapters and rubber tubing

PREPARING THE MODIFIED
BC-21 BLACK & TRI-COLOR CARTRIDGES
•  Draw approximately 4 ml. of the IQ-Durable Edible Inks using the 4 syringes with the rubber tubings for each color.
• Fill the modified BCI-21 black compatible cartridge by attaching the syringe with the rubber tubing containing the IQ-Durable Edible Ink to the red adapter located on top of the cartridge. Moderately dispense ink until the ink comes ouf from the bottom of the cartridge as shown on Figure 1.
• Fill the modified BC-21 tri-color compatible catridge one color at a time.  Attach the syringe with the rubber tubing corresponding to the color chamber.  Begin with the IQ-Durable Edible Cyan then the Edible Magenta and lastly, the Edible Yellow.  Follow the color arrangement as shwon in Figure 2.  Moderately dispense ink until the ink comes out from the bottom of the cartridge.
• Place the cartridges on a damp cloth.  Let it stand for 3 minutes.  This will remove excess ink by gravity.
