Printing Images CtC, Inc. offers specially formulated inks for use in
ink jet printers serving the wide format market or using plotters as the
output device, where the main feature of the product addresses the 100%
UV resistance and water resistance.
Main characteristics are only achieved using the pigment origin as the
colorant, with a medium vividness of colors because of its origin.
IQ Durable Pigment Inks offer a wide range of media compatibility from
plain paper to films of different brands and makes.

Heat Resistance of Colorants:
Heat stability was tested on plain paper containing 10 parts dye and
90 parts liquid solution. The printed / coated paper was subjected
to 450 degrees Fahrenheit for maximum heat evaluation, and no change was
noticed.
Ultra Violet Rays / Light Stability:
Light or UV stability was tested using the Carbon Arc Fade-O-Meter exposures'
hour to first break. IQ Durable dye based ink jet inks, showed a tremendous
UV / light stability up to 500
hours (21 days) without any noticeable change in color. Equivalents
in exposure to sunlight was at least twelve (12) months exposure to sunlight.
Like other fastness properties, light stability or UV
resistance depends and is affected by; type of binder, film / paper
thickness, concentration of colorant, reflectivity of substrate, spectral
distribution of light source, temperature and humidity
Water Resistance:
The water resistance was tested on plain paper printed with the ink
made according to the formulation and was submerged into the water batch
for a period of time. Loss or gain is evaluated directly as the water
resistance property using a reflectance density meter. The IQ Durable
Dye Based inkjet inks showed an almost 98% water resistance.
